Homeless Again: Cyclone Thane in Tamil Nadu, India

In the last 36 hours, at least 10 people lost their lives as 75-m.p.h winds and rain ravaged Tamil Nadu, India.

A New Year's Eve service was planned to take place at this Bible college campus, but flooding made it impossible.

A New Year's Eve service was planned to take place at this Bible college campus, but flooding made it impossible.

Three church buildings belonging to Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries were destroyed, and many of the church members lost their homes and belongings.

A GFA-supported Bible college campus is still underwater. The staff can't hold any sessions or functions until the weather lets up and the water drains.

For local people, this isn't the first time a major storm threatened them. This tropical storm hit several of the same areas that were desolated by the 2004 tsunami.

Please pray for these people who are homeless again. Pray that relief items reach survivors as quickly as possible, and that the Lord will provide materials to rebuild homes and church buildings. As well, our missionaries need safety as they travel around in these flood-affected areas, bringing relief to those in need.
