What Is a GFA World Volunteer?
Our GFA volunteers have a passion to see God transform communities all around the world. Our volunteers are compassionate people who share an urgency with the Psalmist who wrote, “That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.” —Psalm 67:2
We love for our volunteers to feel comfortable talking to people about GFA’s various ministries and projects. Furthermore, to bring awareness to others in their community about what God is doing through our indigenous missionaries. We also invite our volunteers to give (as much or as little of) their time in the office or remotely! There’s so much impactful work that needs doing and our volunteers are major players, helping to fulfill our daily tasks. Plus, our volunteer coordinators will provide you with free support materials, training, resources, and mentorship!

Our Community
One of the best things about becoming a part of the team here is the fact that you become part of a community. Our office works hard behind the scenes and has a huge hand in changing the lives of thousands of people around the world. So we feel it’s important to create a fun and encouraging environment for anyone who’s involved in any capacity. We want our team – whether that’s our staff in our office or it’s a remote worker who’s miles away – to thrive and feel at home in our community, so we host events for everyone to join and meet each other, we provide resources and an online community, and give support wherever needed!

How It Works

We at GFA World provide training, materials, resources, discipleship and a mentor to walk alongside each new volunteer through the volunteer process. We check in with you to see what areas you’d love to serve in and we’ll help you to develop your skills as you journey with us.
