Gospel for Asia's Prayer Team
Prayer Requests for this Month
The Chakma people live in three regions of northeastern India: Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. Immigrants from Bangladesh, the Chakmas are seen as outsiders and disregarded by the communities where they have settled. They lead a life of struggles. Work is difficult to find. Most of the time, they eat only once a day. The people are illiterate. But now, with the help of Gospel for Asia–supported missionaries, the Chakmas have an opportunity to receive a hopeful future. Here are ways you can pray for these people who are beloved of God.
- There are many more villages where the Chakmas live that have yet to be reached with the Gospel. Pray that God will raise up committed missionaries to serve among them and exhibit Christ's love.
- Pray for the Chakmas who have decided to live for Christ, that they will remain firm in their faith and continue to grow more in love with the Lord each day.
- Despite the difficulties, pray the Lord provides more openings to teach the Chakmas of His love.
- Pray that the local people would accept and open their arms to receive the Chakmas and allow the government to provide help.
- Pray that the ministry started by GFA–supported pastor Balbir Mark and his team will continue to thrive. Pray also that the Lord will anoint those doing ministry and use them for His glory among the Chakmas.

"Do you want to be full of joy? Then let God show you some answers to prayer. All of us can testify to the joy of answered prayer." (p. 27)
"Our praying speaks for our ever-present need for the Lord and shows how much we truly depend on Him. Only through prayer will we accomplish His purposes." (p. 40)
