Gospel for Asia UK
GFA began in the US in 1979, when KP Yohannan and his wife decided to walk away from their pastorate and live for the unreached world. In 1997, Gospel for Asia was registered as a UK charity and has shared Christ’s compassion for the unreached with the UK ever since.
"The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few." - Jesus, Matthew 9:37
God is moving in unprecedented ways throughout Asia, but the labourers are few. However, the shortage of labourers in today's missions effort is not front-line preachers, but senders to stand with them.
"How shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they be sent?" - Romans 10:14,15
In the UK and Europe, we are raising awareness of Jesus' heart for the unreached and of our brothers and sisters working on the front lines trying to reach them.
Yet we know that it doesn't take knowers of the word, but doers of it. Therefore, we actively encourage people to act on that awareness.
God is raising up thousands of people who are passionate about reaching the unreached and sharing the love of Christ in effective ways. Thousands are praying and partnering with national missionaries.
But with so many people still waiting to hear the Gospel for the first time, it takes the involvement of more believers to see them reached. Frontline missionaries are able to do what they do because of the support of fellow believers.
Our Office
This is what our York staff lives to see happen. By sharing Christ’s heart for the unreached and connecting western believers with the frontline efforts to share Christ’s love for those still waiting to hear.
Gospel for Asia UK has been in York since 1994 and has steadily grown. Our hope is that you’ll join us! If not as a staff member, as someone who shares our burden to reach the unreached.
GFA also maintains offices in Germany and more recently Finland.
