On March 22, ten Jesus Wells were inaugurated in one region of Asia in celebration of World Water Day! Each Jesus Well provides pure, safe water to a community that previously had little access to good drinking water.
In one village, the people suffered from diarrhea, stomach aches, and kidney stones because of the lack of safe water. The newly installed Jesus Well will provide pure water for decades to come, and the plaque displays John 4:13-14,
"Jesus answered and said to her, 'Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
A villager, Mohinder, said, "Thank you so much . . . for helping us to get pure drinkable water through the Jesus Well project."
One woman, Madira said, "During the summer we struggle to get water, because after doing work in the field, we come home and again go for water very far. But now it is very near. It has saved our time and even health because the water seems pure."
