About

We’re transforming communities around the world through God’s love in long-term, sustainable missions.

Our mission: reach the world

Over two billion people across the planet have never heard of Jesus and have no access to churches or Jesus’ life-changing message of hope. Twenty-five million people die every year without ever hearing how much God loves them! Our mission at GFA World is to reach those people and lift them up with the hope only found in Jesus Christ.

Our mission for our lives is to be authentic followers of Jesus and to live our lives in a way that God calls us to.

Sustainabilility

We believe in sustainably supporting those in need: by raising up national missionaries through long term missions, creating spaces for people to experience God within their own culture, and to help anyone in need with our education programmes, health initiatives, practical gifts, and through spiritual transformation that brings life-changing peace, restored relationships, and repaired lives.

Since our worldwide inception in 1979…

Our dream: change the world

We’re lifting up the broken, serving the weary, and giving hope to a diverse world – we do all of this through our national missionaries who are, at this very moment, sharing the Gospel and serving anyone in need in 18 countries.

Community and Partnership

We have an extraordinary challenge in front of us to stand with our indigenous missionaries around the world and reap the harvest God has given us. We do this with the help of our community and in partnership with the global Body of Christ, and by connecting believers in the UK to the work the indigenous missionaries are doing in the field.

How you can join us

You can be a part of this rewarding journey by giving to any of our giving categories, joining us in prayer or finding out other ways to get involved! We’d love for you to partner with us – read below to find out how.

GFA World Distinctives

Support

GFA World supports National Missionaries have few or no cultural barriers to overcome. Therefore, they can readily understand and talk with people in their communities and minister to people’s deepest needs and worries, both physically and spiritually. We believe this is the best way to be sustainable and ethical! For that reason, we enable partners in the UK to stand with our Missionaries with prayer and financial support so they can continue their courageous work of serving so many communities across the world.

Focus

National Missionaries mostly serve people in communities that are without necessities. They minister to leprosy patients, slum dwellers, widows and orphans, the sick and the hungry. These are individuals who desperately need to feel love and care from God and others but are often cast out by their very own people.

Develop

We develop communities by providing basic necessities needed for healthy living (including clean water!), gifts that create income, and vocational training for anyone who needs it. Our National Missionaries live, work, and socialise in the communities they serve, so they truly understand the practical needs of the families and individuals within those communities. As a result, they build friendships and create spaces for everyone to feel welcomed, loved, and cherished by God.

Transform

Our mission is to Transform Lives and Communities through God’s Love. To assist with this, in every area of our ministry- whether we’re providing clean water, offering disaster relief, or alleviating poverty, we always tell people the reason why we do what we do: the love of God. Our National Missionaries share why we’re all so passionate about serving, loving, and giving to those in need – it’s because God does all the same (and more!) for us.

Medical Ministry

Many are suffering and dying from treatable ailments. A cold can develop into pneumonia. Burns go untreated.

Meet Our Team

Our office here in the UK is run by a community-oriented team who have a huge passion for sharing the Gospel to the unreached. With this in mind, we have been serving the mission field in the UK for 25 years and we’re just as excited about our vision as we were when we started!

We place a huge value on prayer, community, friendship, discipleship, and serving. Our goal is to love God and people through sharing His Word, showing His kindness, and living out His will for our lives. Nothing makes us happier than knowing that our work (no matter how small or big the task may be) has an eternal impact all around the world!

Furthermore, we’re so excited that so many people have joined us on this journey and we can’t wait to show you all the work that God is doing in so many places.

Testimonials

“These words you put on paper were obviously inspired from our Father. This book brought tears and ‘God bumps’ to me throughout my reading. Between you, Francis Chan and David Platt, I am so convicted to do more in the name of Christ!”

Mrs. R.H., Ohio, USA

“After reading No Longer a Slumdog, my heart longed to help as many children as I could. Thank you GFA for finding these children who are precious beyond words and for giving them schooling and so much more!”

Joy, Twickenham, UK

I am currently reading Revolution in World Missions and am blown away by what I read. My wife and I have been longing for the Lord to reveal what is our next step. This book has helped
immeasurably.

Mr D, Australia

K.P. Yohannan’s book draws the Church back to the very heart of what Christ has called us to do. I would urge every Christian, and especially every pastor, to read this book with a humble
heart before the Lord. I’m reading it through again, and it’s still a heart-stirring blessing.

Pastor M, Worthing

“I have read Revolution in World Missions twice, and now I am more convinced than ever that investing in national missionaries and Bridge of Hope children will yield better returns than silver
or gold. Thank you for waking me up, Brother K.P.

Mr. K.G., Alberta, Canada

Gospel for Asia is not a movement but a phenomenon. GFA has become one of the most significant mission organizations of this century. I praise God for the great love and commitment of KP and Gisela Yohannan for the people of Asia. Millions have received the Word of God because of them and the ministry of Gospel for Asia.

—George Verwer, founder of Operation Mobilization and world missions advocate

“K.P. has been a mentor to me for years. The way that he speaks to God and about Him is different from anyone else I know. His words and actions have led to me loving Jesus more consistently and deeply. He is the first to admit shortcomings in his life, but he continues to be an example to me. For this, I am eternally grateful.”

Francis Chan, pastor and author of “Crazy Love”

I just turned 41, and there has never been a more meaningful kingdom experience for me than being part of God’s work through volunteering with GFA World.

Justin, GFA volunteer

Being part of GFA World is such a great privilege. Knowing every day, every minute, every key stroke, is making a difference for God’s eternal kingdom fills me with tremendous joy and gratitude. There is such purpose to life, and there is no other place I would rather be.

Joan, GFA international staff member

In 2006 I heard a GFA speaker talk about the unreached villages of Asia. I suddenly understood how desperate so many people on the other side of the world are and how my privileged existence was only available for an elite few. I joined staff a few years later, ready to give up everything. I found a community of grace, love and patience. I found a small family within the Church. . . focused on reaching Asia with the Good News.

John-Paul, Staff member
